One of those days and trusting God through it...

Have you ever had those days where nothing seems to go right?

Where you forget that you are filling the sink and it overflows? Or you dump half your bottle of homemade salad dressing on the floor? When you feel so nauseous and tired you can't pull yourself out of bed but you have to because the bug inspector AND the internet guy are coming? When your husband is sick and feels absolutely miserable? When you can't get the combination to your mailbox to work? This has been one of those days.

But this has also been a day where God has poured His love and mercy on me as well. Life becomes better when I remember that He is always with me and will always take care of me. I know He loves me, I never ever doubt that... but why in the world do I let cares and worries override what He has already done in my life? He has already done so much in tremendous & powerful ways. I need to keep my eye on Him...no matter what! I can't imagine what my life wouldl be like if I did not have Him in it. I need to remember that. :-) He is so good!

So.... even when I don't feel good, or I have a clumsy moment, or the dumb combination doesn't work, or I see my husband so sick... I find something in which to rejoice. :-D Sometimes it takes a little thinking, but there is no circumstance in which we cannot find something to rejoice in the Lord!

I was reminded of the beautiful old hymn "He Giveth More Grace". May you be as encouraged and blessed as I was and daily reminded of His loving grace and power.

~He Giveth More Grace~
By: Annie Flint
He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again

I went to a ladies crossings gathering on Saturday with a WONDERFUL group! Oh, it was so refreshing and fun. :-D Each girl was just as wonderful as I thought. :-D I ate a yummy greek salad bowl at Mimi's cafe, made some great purchases (it was no-tax weekend), and we ended up at CiCi's Pizza for dinner. Heh, Jessica has a picture of me looking 9 months pregnant with the lovely little pillow you can strap on at the Motherhood. Hilarious. Lots of laughs that day, as well as smiles and heart to hearts.

New friends...

I am loving Dallas... the people, the food (oh the food is heavenly!), but NOT the heat. :-P It hit 110 one day and I thought I was going to die!

I made a new friend today. i was walking to the library, and my eye was caught by the most precious little baby girl... as she grinned and a dimple showed, I had to stop and talk to her and her mother. The baby girl's name is Jean. She cooed and laughed as I talked to her and told her she was a pretty precious little girl. Then I struck up a conversation with her mother. Her name is Elaine... she grew up in Hong Kong, although she is Korean by birth. She lives down the hallway from us. We really hit if off!

So now that is the fourth friend I have made... Liz, Ratna, Chelsea, and Elaine. :-D I love people. :-)

It has been a while since I've updated here. God has been so good to us.
His daily provision for our needs and His love for me overwhelms and astounds me.

We have been really busy! I have looking for a job and sending my resume different places. I know God will direct me to the right job.

Our most important news is that come March we will become parents...

We were surprised, but very very excited over the prospect of this immense responsibility and blessing in our lives. A lot of people counseled us that we should wait a couple years. We prayed before we got married, and after that God would be glorified in whatever happened. We feel that God chose to give us little "Peanut" to strengthen not only our faith, but the faith of the people around us as they see God's immense power in how He will provide for us. I always think of Jeremiah 29:11.... "...I know the plans I have for you..."

So other than the wonderful news of our little precious baby, Michael has been busy with work and a one credit (one week) class that he finished up yesterday (still has to do a test and turn in a paper next week), and I have been busy with setting up our little "nest". It really is a cute little apartment that perfectly fits all our needs. I know several people have requested pictures, so I will try to do that soon. The only thing left to buy for our apartment is curtain rods, curtains, and a lamp for one of the rooms. It is comfy, cozy, and so wonderfully shabby chic. :-P

A few weeks ago, we had the wonderful privelege of having a very godly Indian Pastor, Devadas Mekala (Daddy to all who know him) stay with us for about a week. What a special time of fellowship, prayer, laughter, and hearing about God's workings in the Bless India ministry. I have truly enjoyed getting to know Daddy, and can't wait to wear the beautiful red, black, white, and silver Sari he gave me sometime! He then went to Houston for a week and flew back and we drove him to Mississippi (near Memphis, TN and West Memphis, AK). We got to hang out with some amazing friends, David & Jill Denton (love them!), and eat dinner at the Lipscomb's mansion. I was very blessed to hear their testimony of their two daughters dying in a train accident and how so many people have come to the Lord through hearing their story.

Some prayer requests:
*That we can find a conservative, bible believing church where we feel welcome and where we can minister to others.
*For my health as I carry this child. I've been experiencing some morning sickness and extreme fatigue. Please pray I feel better soon!
*God's provision for our daily needs.
*That we can be a testimony to all around us and boldly share Jesus with everyone we meet.
